Most cooking in the Balinese kitchen is simple. A lot of Babi (pork)
is used. At allmost every major ceremony there is a pig cut and cooked. Lawar is
very popular in the villages, its pig blood with rasped coconut. Sweet cookies
and cakes in many variants and colors are made of rice, coconut and sugar.
